Toyota has revealed its new special-edition Aygo city car that carries the JBL Edition name.
So what does it come with? According to the Japanese automaker, the JBL Edition comes with an improved stereo system plus a range of cosmetic tweaks.
It runs on 15-inch alloy wheels and comes with front fog lights, rear privacy glass as well as a new grey and orange paint scheme that matches the colours of the JBL brand.
The cabin comes equipped with a matching colour scheme as the exterior of the vehicle with grey upholstery that is complimented by orange trim pieces. The stereo system has been supplied by JBL and comes with a four-speaker JBL stereo system plus a 160mm subwoofer.
The subwoofer sits at the same spot where the spare wheel is normally situated. With that said, the JBL Edition comes with a puncture repair kit to make up for the loss of a spare wheel.
Under the hood lurks a 52 kW 1.0-litre three-pot engine that sends power to the front wheels through a standard five-speed gearbox. An automatic transmission is available at an added charge.
It remains to be seen if the Toyota Aygo JBL Edition will be offered in South Africa.
Locally, the Aygo is available in four trims; standard Aygo, X-Play, X-Clusiv and X-Cite Black.
